Project Overview
The scope for this project included the relocation of two bar and biscuit production lines consisting of blending, forming, cooking, cooling and packaging.
As part of the project an electrical infrastructure upgrade was required to cater for the relocated machines at the end users factory.
Solution
Jarlam Electric’s provided a detailed Cable Scheduling, Program and Variable Speed Drive backups to lower / mitigate risk.
Power monitoring was undertaken to determine the overall load of the existing electrical infrastructure vs what would be relocated to the premises.
Electrical Sub Mains were upgraded, along with the manufacture of 2 x custom made Distribution Boards to cater for the newly relocated machinery and future expansion.
As a result of the new Electrical Distribution Boards, new sub circuits were installed via an overhead cable gantry with all information gathered from cable scheduling. Distribution Boards were also designed for future machine installations.
Jarlam Electrics undertook all required preparation works prior to the machinery relocation so when disconnected and relocated all electrical supply cables were ready for reconnection.
Time from machine disconnection to reconnection and energise was a 2-week process for the entire production line.
